Pokémon is a multimedia franchise which has taken the form of a series of video games and several television series and films, among other media.

Crossover

The franchise crossed over with the Doctor Who universe in an untitled promotional video ^[+]Loading...["Untitled (November 2024 TV story)","untitled promotional video"] released by the BBC, which features an appearance by a Pokémon TV series^[which?], alongside Doctor Who.

Billie Piper recorded a song for the western release of Pokémon: The First Movie, "Makin' My Way (Any Way That I Can)". Though the song was not used in the movie itself, it appeared on its official soundtrack album. Britney Spears, who appeared as herself in Looking for Pudsey, also contributed the song, "Soda Pop", to the soundtrack.
A live-action Pokémon film, titled Pokémon: Detective Pikachu, was released in 2019. The film featured Bill Nighy, Josette Simon, and Max Fincham.

The Pokémon Trading Card Game was, until 2003, originally published outside of Asia by Wizards of the Coast.
The Pokémon anime series is currently broadcast in the United Kingdom on CBBC and BBC iPlayer. They have also been broadcast as part of Saturday Mash-Up!
