You may be looking for the DWM universe.

A 2D universe was a universe with only two spatial dimensions. The Boneless came from one such universe. When the Twelfth Doctor eventually confronted the Boneless, he used his TARDIS to send the creatures back to their original 2D universe. (TV: Flatline [+]Loading...["Flatline (TV story)"])
