Mrs Pritchard was formerly the wife of George Pritchard and mother to Gwendoline until their Josiah Samuel Smith took of their home, Gabriel Chase. Smith removed all knowledge of her relationship with her daughter from Mrs. Pritchard (who Smith made his ward). When she began to realize the truth, Light, the alien being who had recently awoken, who hated change, turned both Gwendoline and her mother into stone statues. (DW: Ghost Light)
