Alaska was a state of the United States of America. The fifth Doctor and Nyssa visited Alaska in 1994. (BFA: The Land of the Dead) However, on a later occasion the seventh Doctor claimed that he had never been to Alaska. (NA: Cat's Cradle: Time's Crucible)
