The Vampire Lovers was a 2|entertain documentary on the making of State of Decay and was released on the DVD of the serial. It severed as a general account of the serial's production.

It focused on the final emersion of the script after three years and how it had changed. It also looked at the design of the story and the concept of blood within it. It explained some of the inspiration behind the script.
