I don't know who she was, but i bet it would be a future stroyline, if not to do with the finale or the Dream lord. "No, I think she's just dreaming." That actually gave me chills.

Conjecture

I don't believe that the Eye Patch Lady will have anything to do with the Dream Lord. I would expect that doors of that style will be appearing throughout the upcoming series, possibly from some sort of overarching agency such as the Shadow Proclamation or the now-defunct Celestial Intervention Agency (though not either of those specifically - one doesn't have the ability and the other no longer exists).

I suspect that whatever the theory is, the reality will end up much simpler.
