I think that river song is... Lucy saxon. Heres why: if it was lucy then the best man she ever knew was the master, bang goes a gun and he dies. She then proceeds to disturd his ressurection.

River says the doctor didnt teach her to fly the tardis, but in sound of the drums the master had it and flew it. he may well have taught her to fly it.

I disagree. Lucy Saxon wouldn't of looked back on the Master as a "the best man I ever knew". Plus the Master didn't do a lot of flying in the TARDIS, just a few trips between modern London and the end of the universe before he turned it into a Paradox machine.
In addition you have to consider that River Song was imprisoned in a 51st/52nd Century human prison for killing whoever she killed. Such people would have no love for the Master if they even knew he existed, and would probably give her a medal if they did.Falrinn 19:46, May 10, 2011 (UTC)

What if... River Song is actually a future incarnation of The Doctor? She certainly behaves a lot like him, has great knowledge of things, can fly the Tardis and loves to get involved in adventures. Two incarnations of the doctor were already seen in that Children in Need special. Granted, this theory seems a bit far fetched though since they appear to be romantically linked. 79.183.184.41 20:11, May 10, 2011 (UTC)
