We don't know for sure that she's pregnant. As far as we know, her telling the Doctor could be post-hypnotic suggestion. Her stomach was hurting as she was telling him that and we know that even though not always, they feel sick after forgetting about the Silent. Another reason why it is too soon to assume she is pregnant is because the Doctor's TARDIS monitor was still analyzing when the camera cut off of it. But if I am right and a Silent told her to tell the Doctor she was pregnant when she wasn't, then what could be the purpose of that? V00D00M0NKY 17:35, May 2, 2011 (UTC)

I agree that we amy's pregnancy is not for sure. However, concerning the TARDIS monitor, i don't think it was still analyzing, but rather the result is fluctuating between positive and negative, which might be due to how and when she will get pregnant, like a time ripple or something. So it's not a normal pregnancy, and probably the Silence has something to do with it. 94.187.111.3 21:06, May 2, 2011 (UTC)

Well since it still said "Full body scan in progress" I figured it was still analyzing. Nothing I saw on that screen implied anything definite in any form even if it's definitely fluctuating. V00D00M0NKY 22:19, May 2, 2011 (UTC)

Oh and it seems like the Doctor may think it could have been post-hypnotic because of the way he was asking the questions at the end. "Why tell me" as in why did she even tell him at all especially without telling Rory. V00D00M0NKY 22:35, May 2, 2011 (UTC)

My impression of that scene was that the Doctor knew that Rory was listening in and asked Amy those questions and kept pressing them so that Rory would hear and the two could work some of their marital issues out. As for the scanner, my feeling is that time can be re-written and the point at which Amy becomes pregnant is still in flux untill later in the series.MasterIII 21:12, May 3, 2011 (UTC)

After watching The Curse of the Black Spot, it seems that the TARDIS monitor WAS fluctuating between positive and negative. But I'm not quite sure if that's because of a ripple in time or if something is so impossible about the pregnancy that the TARDIS can't tell what's going on. V00D00M0NKY 21:59, May 7, 2011 (UTC)

I think time is in flux until the matter of the Silence is sorted out -- hope it's some time this season. Boblipton 01:31, May 11, 2011 (UTC)
