Character Options SJA action figures
Character Options Sarah Jane Adventures 5" action figures were different from the Doctor Who range. They were made only for the initial series of the programme. With the death of Elisabeth Sladen and the cancellation of the programme, it became almost certain that there would never be additional releases in the range.
The range was distinct from the Doctor Who action figures, not only in terms of branding, but also in format. Each box came with an action figure of Sarah Jane, along with an alien or enemy she had encountered. Although the Sarah Jane action figures were all different, and therefore gave serious collectors value for money, the series never got around to making action figures for any other main character. Thus, there were never figures made for Maria Jackson, Alan Jackson, Clyde Langer, Luke Smith, Rani Chandra or any other regular characters. Even K9 — a perennial favourite of toy manufacturers — never got an SJA-branded release.
