Roy Hudd, OBE played Max Miller in BFA: Pier Pressure. In addition to being a well-known Max Miller impressionist, Hudd is an authority on the real-life Max Miller and president of the Max Miller Appreciation Society.

A longtime stage, screen, and radio actor, Hudd's other audio roles include Sherlock Holmes in the radio pastiche The Newly Discovered Casebook of Sherlock Holmes]] and Max Quordlepleen in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. On television, Hudd's works include soap opera roles in Coronation Street and Hollyoaks: In The City.
