Mrs Lloyd was a London housewife who hurried to get her husband and son into their air-raid shelter when the sirens started during their evening meal, in late January 1941. Many of the locals assumed she was having an affair with the local butcher, which explained how she always had lots of meat to feed her family.(DW: The Empty Child/ The Doctor Dances)
