The Doctor's Rules were a series of guidelines created by the Doctor for his companions. As Jackson Lake, at a time in which he believed himself to be the Doctor, told his companion, Rosita:
The Doctor's companion does what the Doctor says.
The Rules
- 001 a: The Doctor lies. (DW: The Big Bang, Let's Kill Hitler)

- 007: Never run when you are scared. (DW: Let's Kill Hitler)

- 054: Anything can come from outside of the universe, but nothing can come from before the universe. (DW: The Satan Pit)
- 408 a: Time is not the boss of you. (DW: Let's Kill Hitler, The Time of Angels)
- 408 b: You should always waste time when you don't have any. (DW: Let's Kill Hitler)
- Number Unknown: The Doctor does not use guns (to kill at least). (DW: The Time of Angels)
