William James "Bill" Pullman (born 17 December, 1953) is the American actor who portrayed Oswald Danes in Torchwood: Miracle Day. His best-known prior roles in the science fiction arena included playing the President of the United States in Independence Day and also starring in the Mel Brooks Star Wars spoof Spaceballs.
