Kirid

Kirid was a native of Jevo. He was in command of the expedition to spray the plants of Arides with poison to prevent the spread of their deadly pollen dust through space. Despite the reluctance of his crew, he followed sealed orders to cross unexplored regions of space. This took his ship near Skaro. Captured by the Daleks, Kirid convinced them the Arides pollen would be a threat to them as well, and they released him. Kirid's expedition made it to Arides and began carrying out the mission, but he learned that the Daleks, having discovered his deception, were on their way to destroy them. Kirid chose to complete the mission rather than flee, and was destroyed by the Daleks. (TV21: The Emissaries of Jevo)
