Olag was one of the few members of his tribe allowed to freely hunt, while the others were held and used as slaves by the Ronans, when they began to drill towards the Earth’s core.
Olag had managed to steal one of the Ronans laser-like weapons ("Thundersticks") which was ultimately used to weaken the caves beneath the Dead Sea that led to flooding that trapped the Ronans below ground with sea water that they were allergic too. (DWM: The Heat-Seekers)
