Rita-Anne Smith was the grandmother of Mickey Smith. She lived in London. Mickey's father, a keycutter, left him at an early age and he ended up living with her. Mickey's girlfriend, Rose described her as a great woman who would sometimes slap him around. Rita-Anne died of a broken neck after Mickey neglected to fix the carpet on the stairs and she tripped.
