By early 80, the Caecilius family — whom the Tenth Doctor and Donna had saved from the eruption of Vesuvius — had resettled in Rome.
Caecilius' business was by this point healthily re-established. Evelina was returned to a state of health. She was dating boys, to her father's consternation.
