- Dalek forces rout the Earth Alliance's Spacefleet at the Battle of Bellatrix. At the end of the battle, Admiral Summerfield's battleship, the Tisiphone, falls into a spatio-temporal rift and is transported to 1963 Earth.
- Daleks attack the Earth colony of Beta Caprisis. Claire Summerfield is killed. Survivors of the attack are evacuated to a space station aboard the luxury liner Star of Lucknow.
