Prelude Nightshade was, as the name suggested, a prelude to Nightshade by Mark Gatiss. It was a short scene which did not appear in the published novel. and featured Edmund Trevithick. It was notable for being the first prelude of a Virgin New Adventures novel published in Doctor Who Magazine.

Summary

Edmund Trevithick gives a performance as Professor Nightshade, in which the character is worried about his missing rocket crew. Afterwards, he and a fellow actor leave for a pint while wondering how long his fame will last.
