The Borg were a cybernetic species which entered into an alliance with the Cybermen. On stardate 45635.2, this joint assault force attacked the Federation planet Delta IV. (IDW: Assimilation²)
The Borg resemble the Daleks in the way that they are enemies of the universe, they are able to create a shield when adapted to a weapons fire which is similar to the shield the Daleks have. They also show similarities to the cybermen which makes them the perfect alliance with each other because cybermen assimilate other living creatures and 'delete' all emotions the being posseses which is exactly what the Borg do.
