List of renegades

Should the list of renegade Time Lords really duplicate the content of Category:Renegade Time Lords? That list contains an awful lot of alternate versions of the Doctor and a few of the Master, which doesn't make much sense in a list of this type. Would it be better to have a manually maintained list instead? —Josiah Rowe talk to me 18:34, June 10, 2012 (UTC)

According to Category:Non-DWU material's page, anything on that category (such as the Unbound Masters) shouldn't be in the Time-Space Visualiser to begin with. Are there alternate Doctors and Masters without the {{notdwu}} heading you're concerned about? -- Tybort (talk page) 20:27, June 10, 2012 (UTC)
Well, there are some which are labeled with the {{notdwu}} but which are also in Category:Renegade Time Lords: for example, The Master (Sympathy for the Devil). But there are also some alternate versions of characters who are technically in the DWU, such as Burner Doctor, and also future/alternate/indeterminate versions of the Doctor such as The Doctor (Good Companions) and The Doctor (The Colour of Monsters).
I guess there are two issues here: first, should we extend the parallel category structure for non-DWU individuals, adding things like Category:Non-DWU renegade Time Lords, and second, is it appropriate for a list page to include multiple versions (even multiple canonical versions) of the same character. I mean, it makes sense for, say, the Man with the Rosette to be in Category:Renegade Time Lords, but it doesn't really make sense for the Man with the Rosette and the Master to be placed in a list as if they were two different individuals. —Josiah Rowe talk to me 22:15, June 10, 2012 (UTC)
