A swimming pool was a container filled with water used for swimming.

The TARDIS had a swimming pool. It was used by Leela, and Borusa also hid from the Sontarans in this area. Leela mistakenly called it "the bathroom", confusing the pool for a bathtub. (TV: The Invasion of Time)

The pool was later jettisoned due to leakage, which Mel found bothersome. (TV: Paradise Towers)

When he first met Amy Pond near Easter 1996, the Eleventh Doctor was soaked because - as he explained to her - he had just climbed out of the pool into which both he and the TARDIS' library had fallen during the crash. (TV: The Eleventh Hour)

The Doctor landed the TARDIS against a partially constructed skyscraper in July 1969, with its exterior oriented face-up. He then instructed Amy to open the doors all the way to the swimming pool. A moment later, River Song dove from several storeys above into the pool, breaking her fall. Her impact was sufficient that some water splashed even beyond the exterior doors. (TV: Day of the Moon)

The Doctor burned up the swimming pool to get enough energy to enter the bubble universe. (TV: The Doctor's Wife)

Jack Harkness used the swimming pool at Pontyvale Golf Course to electrocute a Craktor. (COMIC: Ma and Par)

The top floor of Paradise Towers had a swimming pool. (TV: Paradise Towers)

The leisure planet Abydos had non-gravity swimming pools. (TV: The Leisure Hive)
