Hive mind

A hive mind, group mind or gestalt consciousness is a collection of separate, distinct organisms with a shared consciousness, which may or may not mean that the creatures are without individuality. The Nestenes, the Wirrn, the Tractators, the Ood, the Family of Blood, the Toclafane, the Isolus, the Bane and the Rutans were all hive minds (an interesting side-effect in the Rutans is that individuals refer to themselves as "we" rather than "I").
