Welcome to the Tardis:About Paulisthewalrus

Thanks for your edits! We hope you'll keep on editing with us. This is a great time to have joined us, because now you can play the Game of Rassilon with us and win cool stuff! Well, okay, badges. That have no monetary value. And that largely only you can see. But still: they're cool!

We've got a couple of important quirks for a Wikia wiki, so let's get them out of the way first.
British English, please
We generally use British English round these parts, so if you're American, please be sure you set your spell checker to BrEng, and take a gander at our spelling cheat card.
Spoilers aren't cool
We have a strict definition of "spoiler" that you may find a bit unusual. Basically, a spoiler, to us, is anything that comes from a story which has not been released yet. So, even if you've got some info from a BBC press release or official trailer, it basically can't be referenced here. In other words, you gotta wait until the episode has finished its premiere broadcast to start editing about its contents. Please check the spoiler policy for more details.
Other useful stuff
Aside from those two things, we also have some pages that you should probably read when you get a chance, like:

If you're brand new to wiki editing — and we all were, once! —  you probably want to check out these tutorials at Wikipedia, the world's largest wiki:

Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes like this:

Thanks for becoming a member of the TARDIS crew! If you have any questions, see the Help pages, add a question to one of the Forums or ask on my talk page. Revanvolatrelundar 20:49, September 1, 2013 (UTC)

Video upload

Hi! You are new to the wiki so you may not be aware that only admins may upload videos to the site. Your recent upload has been deleted. If you wish, you can recommend a video at Tardis talk:Video recommendations. Thanks! Shambala108 00:33, October 11, 2013 (UTC)

Images

Hi! Please be careful when placing images on story pages. The infoboxes are very long and can mess with the appearance of images. It's always best to use the "preview" button before hitting "publish" so you can see what your images look like on the page. In addition, we prefer to have images alternate left and right, and for the orientation of the images face towards the page, that is, if a character is looking left, we put the image on the right so he is looking towards the text of the page. For more information on using images, you can check out Tardis:Guide to images. Thanks. Shambala108 15:37, November 18, 2013 (UTC)

Edit war

Your edits of An Adventure in Space and Time are coming close to being an edit war. Please read Tardis:Editing policy. At this point, because two editors have changed back your reversions, if you have an issue with the image, you must take it to the talk page. That is the policy on this wiki. Continuity note

Hi! You wrote the following edit summary for The Day of the Doctor (TV story):

"(Please do not revert this again. It makes a more important and interesting point then trying to list all of these in an in-universe fashion. Also, these continuity marks need to more specific on what is the same.)"

This is incorrect. If you put it in continuity, it has to be written in an in-universe way. If you want to leave it the way you wrote it, it belongs in the "story notes" section. In fact, when I tried to move it to story notes, I found it was already there.

If you add it back to continuity, either write it in-universe or it will be removed. Shambala108 23:15, November 28, 2013 (UTC)
