- Two reasons:
- First of all, when a talk page gets too long, its contents get archived. The previous conversations for this page have been archived to a page that you can reach by clicking the "archive" button at the top of this page. Keep in mind that there should be no posts added to a page once it has been archived. If you want to start a new post, or add to an existing one, you start a new one on this page. You can read more about archives at Tardis:Archiving policy.
- Second, on this wiki, talk pages are for discussing the editing of an article, not for general conversation about the topic. So at the moment, no one has any issues with the editing of the page. You can read more about talk pages at Tardis:Discussion policy.

Time Lord?
Clara was on galifrey as an echo at one point but isnt it that all claras get brain pattern and genetic pattern meaning she must be human or idk ther is no information to explain either way she could of not been born ther and just appeared for that moment 79.68.241.70talk to me 19:02, November 26, 2013 (UTC)
The way I understand it is that after jumping into the Doctors timeline, her personality and likeness where really all that was the same between the different versions of Clara. When she sees the Doctor steal the TARDIS, it is likely that incarnation of Clara was either an average Gallifreyan, or Time Lady. 71.60.37.160talk to me 07:04, December 2, 2013 (UTC)
That is my understanding as well, supported by the evidence that Oswin Oswald and Clara from Snowmen are both physical beings. The scattering creates many copies with the same likeness, similar name, similar personality, and an inbuilt instinct to trust and help the Doctor. Therefore that version of Clara is, biologically, Gallifreyan. Whether she has graduated from the Academy and is a Time Lord, is a question that cannot be answered, as there is not enough information given. 76.115.85.249talk to me 04:26, January 5, 2014 (UTC)
Wanna know what that means? It means there is (or might be) also an Alzarian!Clara, Trakenite!Clara, Trion-ese!Clara, and other Clara Echos in all humanoid species on most planets. (Of course since Clara Prime was an human- specifically the 2015's human Clara, all the non-human human-looking species have only one Echo Clara each.) Maybe the Doctor has already travelled with Echo Claras or relatives of Echo Claras, but he does not know it. As in one flashback scene Clara replaced Leela of the Sevateem, Leela herself might actually be just Seevateem!Clara, just with a fake-tan, auburn dye, and going by an "honorary" nickname she may have gained after doing something in a rite-of-passage. Or as the human Clara Echos all happen to have the Oswald last name, maybe it's actually Clara "Leela" Oswald and her father David "Sole" Oswald, but they do not know they have a surname + are always going by honorary names. Or maybe if Leela is Clara it does not mean Sole is Dave, as even if Clara's biological father has to be same or similiar in all echos, some (or all) of the Claras might have been raised by a "father" that was not biological. (Plus, not only Sole looked a bit too old to see it perfectly, but faces can get longer with time. He's the one with white hair in the page image, right? He could as easily TOO just have a fake-tan and bleached, longer hair and beard, possibly just because of their different lifestyles, or because dying your hair and wearing fake tans is a Sevateem!Oswald's thing. And for Leela not caring for children as much as Clara does, maybe Sevateem women just do not care for children, or just most child Sevateem are always off doing something like studying stuff or catching preys. Any differences in facial features or build are either to: 1) Sevateems having a rougher lifestyle and different techs than your regular 2015's human, 2) Being played by Louise Jameson and not by Jenna Louise Coleman due to the latter not being born yet, 3) The appearances of various characters might be semi-simbolic and not actually what the character looks exactly like, think like how Kingdom Hearts fangirls often change Organization XIII's personality, and also change their eye colors\heights\face\skin colors to match their fanon personalities better. --Kaylabaraonda ☎ 13:34, March 22, 2014 (UTC)
- This is speculation, and as such only belongs on Howling:The Howling. Per Tardis:Discussion policy, talk pages are for discussing the editing of articles, not for discussing subjects that can only be answered with speculation. Thanks. Shambala108 ☎ 13:43, March 22, 2014 (UTC)
Memory
It wasn't really clear in The Day of the Doctor if Clara retained her memories of past incarnations after The Name of the Doctor. – The preceding unsigned comment was added by DraconisWombat13203 (talk • contribs) .
She probably had them wiped or only retained very small accounts
they have to be in some shape or form the same person since clara vaguely recalls saving the doctor but does not remember where so we must assume she retained very little All Hail Aslan ☎ 18:43, January 11, 2014 (UTC)

Library Clara
How do we know the Echo-Clara that was seen in the Library was the same one that got made into a Dalek, Oswin Oswald? Am I forgetting something? Were they wearing the same clothes or what? --86.29.7.17talk to me 05:07, January 2, 2014 (UTC)

Correction to name needed
All references to "modern" Clara need to have the name "Oswin" removed as it is not her middle name as clearly stated in Bells of Saint John. So "Clara Oswin Oswald" was not born in 1989, but "Clara Oswald" was. If she has a middle name we've yet to learn it. 68.146.70.124talk to me 23:02, January 5, 2014 (UTC)
Did Clara go to university?
I noticed this page says "Clara wanted to travel after university." The reference for this is listed as The Bells of Saint John, however I'm quite sure this fact was never established on screen in any episode. Was this mentioned in a book or other type of media, and if so can we have the correct reference? --121.45.249.181talk to me 15:29, January 19, 2014 (UTC)
Clara and Twelve - a bit early?
Isn't it a bit early to be declaring Clara Oswald a Twelfth Doctor companion? Yes, she is present at his regeneration, but that does not necessarily mean she will end up travelling with him. And per T:SPOIL and T:OFF REL, we can't really say such a thing until she see her travelling with him in months' time.
If you'd like to discuss {{companions of the Twelfth Doctor}} specifically, please go to Template talk:Companions of the Twelfth Doctor. --SOTO (☎/★\♆) 22:46, January 31, 2014 (UTC)
The First Doctor regenerated near Polly and Ben, which are Second Doctor companions, we could consider them the 2nd Doctor's "Ian and Barbara". But they're also First Doctor companions.
The Third Doctor regenerated near Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart, Sarah Jane, and Harry. The Brig did not actually travel in the TARDIS as an "actual" Companion, and actually left the Doctor a few episodes after becoming the Fourth Doctor. Harry was the Fourth Doctor's companion for a while, then he left early due to there being no need for him as Tom Baker was capable of action scenes, and did not appear anymore as the actor died of diabetes-induced heart attack. Sarah Jane is considered a Third Doctor companion or almost something more (like the Fourth's BFF\Third's adoptive daughter almost, or Fourth's sister. I think Sarah Jane and Fourth could pass as siblings if they wanted to.) and also travelled with the Fourth Doctor for quite a while, then got some spinoff minimovies where she gets K9 and meets Victoria, and then gets a Big Finish spinoff and later appears in NuWho and gets her own televised spinoff. By this point she is 55-year-old and has companions of her own: Maria Jackson, Clyde Langer, Rani Chandra, Luke Smith (an artificial human), Sky Smith (also an artificial human but younger looking and a girl), K9 itself, and Mr. Smith (a supercomputer). Brig's and SJS' actors are also dead now. But they died of cancer not diabetes induced heart attack, and in 2011 not 1986. And the only ones allowed to be played by more than one actor are the Time Lords, who can renew their appearance due to biotech AKA regeneration. But who says you cannot hire three actors that look vaguely like Nicholas, Liz, and Ian, and dress them in costumes? Oh, what was i talking about? Right, right.
The Fourth Doctor regenerated near Adric, Nyssa, and Tegan. We all know how that went. They're of course considered more of Fifth's companions. And i think the actors playing them are still alive today.
The Fifth Doctor regenerated near Peri that also became the Sixth Doctor's companion.
The Seventh Doctor regenerated near Melanie Bush, who was suppose to actually (from her point of wiew) have been a 7th Doctor companion before returning to Earth and then become a 6th Doctor companion and see him regenerate into the 7th. (Well, she did not actually see him, she may have been in the TARDIS bathroom or kitchen preparing carrot juice, for all we know.)
The Ninth Doctor regenerated near Rose Tyler, who is slightly more iconic as a Tenth Doctor companion than a Ninth, mostly because Ninth only had, like, one series?
So, i think that Twelve will initially travel with Clara and Handles, 2 episodes later, Barry Pink enters the scene, Handles gets sacrificed somehow, then Barry exits the scene, deciding he wanted to help teach some rowdy civilization or something, then we get some new female companion (does not have to be yet another 20\21th century white British girl- i want an Asian chick, or an alien that does not just look exactly like an human, or even someone from a country like Pakistan or Indonesia or whatever. Or maybe, not only she is foreign\not caucasian, but she's also from the future, like 26th century or 31st century. Or a pair of color-coded twins with wacky hair and opposite personalities. Or wacky color-coded twin girls from 31st century Indonesia, why not? Anyone who is not just a 20\21th century British girl with one or two defining talent\quirks. Even a non-binary-gendered person, maybe? Could even be two different companions, maybe a guy and a girl, from two different non-20\21th-century-Britain cultures and backstories. Then Clara gets to play the... "Tegan Jovanka" of the situation. Possibly even having a sis-mance with the new chick\"Nyssa of the situation". Expecially if "Adric of the situation" does not die while saving the world or whatever.) If there is a new girl: After two or three episodes, Clara leaves to help some orphans on either Gallifrey, a completely new planet, or the new girl's homeplace (or at least whatever country\world she's from, time period can either be modern day or the new girl's actual homeperiod), and the new girl enters, stays 1-3 episodes with Capaldi as the Doctor, and then the Doctor regenerates into the Thirteenth.
If there is a new girl AND a new guy: the new guy enters the team, initially has a crush on Clara but gets rejected, then Clara either dies, ascends to a new plane of existence, goes in the new girl's homeplace to help kids, or becomes a Time Lady, and either in this episode or the one later, the Doctor saves the new girl from a possibly-alien menace, and while saving her, sacrifices himself to become the Thirteenth Doctor.
But the only 20\21th century British-people there needs to be in the TARDIS are the kids\grandkids\relatives of previous Companion. No companions are related (except for Amy and Rory being River's parents, Brian being Rory's dad, River being the Doctor's wife, Wilf being Donna's grandfather, Jackie being Rose's mom, Susan being the Doctor's maternal granddaughter and thus River's maternal step-granddaughter, and TenToo\Handy Doctor being pratically Donna and the Doctor's son, and Jenny being the Doctor's loomed daughter causing her and Handy to be Susan's aunt and uncle. Polly and Barbara have the same last name, but they never met onscreen, and it's unknown if they were originally supposed to be sisters, first cousins, Polly has Carmen Sandiego powers and stole Barbara's surname, Expies of one another, "Wright" is just a terribly common last name in the Whoniverse, they do not actually have the same surname but the middle name of one of them is the same as the surname of the other, Polly is actually just Barbara who just decided to bleach her hair, dump Ian for a sailor named Ben Jackson, become a secretary, change her first name, and reversed the polarity of the fourth wall trough her BAMF-ness, turning played by Anneke Willis in the process. As she was unable to age past 27 and thus did not die of old age (as demonstrated by the Sarah Jane Smith adventures) she decided to dye her hair ginger, got a bit fatter, started using make-up that made her look more mature, became a temporary worker, started going by Donna, used her Yetaxa-reincarnation-Aztec-powers to turn biologically related to Wilfred Mott and his daughter Sylvia, who decided to marry a guy named Geoff Noble because Donna Noble was a way better name than Donna Wright, and again reversed the polarity of the fourth wall, turning her into being played by Catherine Tate. She found herself in the TARDIS again on her (third) wedding day, eventually became the DoctorDonna, got her "TimeLord Brain" closed (she actually can control all the mind of 10-11 regenerations combined, if she tries hard enough.) then she eventually returned Jackie Hill-played, met Ian for the first time in eons, got pregnant from him, ate a bit too many Brazilian chili beans during her first pregnancy, gave birth to an healthy boy, but he was a lil' bit too dark, making Ian question the parentage, so during an angry fit, Ian trew the poor Dean in a Timespace Rift. Dean ended up in the Potterverse, raised by the Thomas family, and got magical wizard powers due to 1) thinking he was half wizard and 2) being an Aztec-BAMF's son that entered a Timespace Rift at a very young age. As Ian and Barbara realized they would never be older than 30 and 27, respectively, they decided to be together again, and as now even their great-great-grandnieces\nephews looked older than them, to retire together in an UNIT-granted villa, and have many kids. As their kids aged the normal human rate, they usually had two or three kids, then waited around 70-130 years for their next pregnancy. But sometimes there were also extra pregnancies. While living on Boeshane peninsula in the 51th century, Ian and Barbara had two sons, the youngest was named Gray, and the oldest would later take the identity of Jack Harkness. (Who is also Barbara's biological father. B\C Aztec BAMFs can be, and are often, their own granddaughters.) After discovering she was her own grandmother AND Ian's death at the claws of a rabid zoo-escaped tiger, she retired to Tigella, put her older-seeming makeup again, became the leader of the Deons, and changed her name into Lexa. A Gaztak just happened to shoot her, but she used her TL brain from her time as the DoctorDonna to regenerate into the very first Aztec BAMF TimeLady! (Because everyone knows Romana is Estonian, Ace is French, River Song is half Scottish and half Roman, the Rani is Hindi, Iris Wildthyme is from the Fourth Wall, Leela is ethnically Palestinian but does not know it, and is not Jewish due to all the Sevateem worshipping the same gods\religions, Susan Foreman and Jenny are Brits like the Doctor as his maternal granddaughter and loomed daughter respectively, and Millennia's first incarnation had natural blue hair due to temporal engineering, so she might not even have an ethnicity, and even if Rose and the Metacrisis have a daughter named Debenhams, she would only be 25% Aztec!) Since said Aztec BAMF TimeLady could not always call herself just "aztec BAMF timelady", so when she received her own TARDIS, she became the Terrible Zodin, modifying history as she wanted to, trying to save the world. As she picked up companions, one of them read the name "Joan Wright" in some alien painting which looked different each time you blinked. Zodin choose that as her "human form name", once timetravelled to 1935, (did not need a Chameleon Arch as she was originally from Earth) met Jack Harkness not knowing he was her son, Jack Harkness got "Joan Wright" pregnant, thus "Joan"\Barbara\Zodin (or just "Zodin Wright", it's easier) realized -she was her own MOTHER!- (yes, not only her own grandmother, but also her own mother!) so she decided to settle down and live as a normal human again. Zodin Wright made an arranged marriage between Ian and Barbara, and was spying on them when they were leaving on the First Doctor's TARDIS! When Ian and Barbara returned home from their TARDIS trips, Zodin Wright also went on a TARDIS trip to relax on peaceful planets and stop alien invasions. She also helped found BOTH Aztec society AND Time Lord society. That is, until her thirteenth regeneration died at the claws of THE SAME rabid zoo-escaped tiger that killed Ian. One or two hours later, from the tiger's point of view. Zodin Wright was 1500 years old when she died. Then her soul turned into the Watcher, who we all know turned into the Fifth Doctor. Yup yup i like to write fanfiction, why?)
