Stars in their Eyes was an Earth television show, likely from around the turn of the 21st century.
Much later, when Satellite 5 was known as the "Game Station", it was remade by the Bad Wolf Corporation. The contestants had to be the best or they would suffer blindness and (presumably) "death" which was actually a Dalek Transmat. (TV: Bad Wolf)
