On 30 December, a number of people important to the production of Doctor Who and its spin-offs either died or were born.
- 1953 - News anchor Meredith Vieira was born.
- 1980 - Actor Eliza Dushku was born.
- 2002 - Actor John Slavid died.
- 2011 - Actors David Tennant and Georgia Moffett were married. They had met on the set of The Doctor's Daughter. Tennant portrayed the Tenth Doctor, and, her father being Peter Davison, both Moffett's character and Moffet herself were the Doctor's daughter.
