Tectonic probe

Tectonic probes were devices developed by the Daleks and used in geo-forming. Placed at strategic locations, the probes would burrow into the planetary surface and restructure the world from the inside out, usually resulting in the extinction of indigenous life. (BFDE: The Healers, The Survivors)
