Notes

  • The book focuses on the untold adventures of the War Doctor portrayed by John Hurt, who fought in the Time War over a period of 400 years. Part of the aim of the book was to create an 'era' for a Doctor which has largely been unrevealed.
  • Although a number of contributors to the book have previously worked on Doctor Who in an official capacity, the book is not endorsed by the BBC and therefore should not be considered as canon.
  • The book is dedicated to Paul Spragg, who discussed the concept of the book and helped bring a number of contributors together before his death. The preface is written by Nicholas Briggs.
  • The book was produced in support of Caudswell Children.
  • It was initially released as a PDF on January 31 2015 to anyone who donated via JustGiving. To promote the book, a short film of the same title, directed by Andy Robinson, was released on January 30 2015.[1]
  • The book is illustrated by Paul J Hanley, who designed the costume for Cinder.
