Hawking was a sport in which a hawk was used to hunt live game. In 1400, Sir Robert de Wensley invited Ian Chesterton to go hawking. They both failed to catch anything, with Robert telling his bird there would be "no cony for your supper". (AUDIO: The Doctor's Tale)
