For centuries humans had once mysteriously been disappearing from a moorland on Earth. Giant alien treasure hunting spiders were gathering up everyday items for their intergalactic value and worth. Unfortunately the items' owners were also being collected. Not wishing them any harm the spiders had kept them cocooned in a state of sleep — some for hundreds of years. The Eleventh Doctor's intervention re-established the spiders on a asteroid displaying their artefacts in a space museum, while the humans were returned to their place in time.
