David Troughton
The son of Patrick Troughton, the actor who played the Second Doctor, David Troughton (born 9th June 1950) is also an actor, and has appeared in four televised Doctor Who stories.
His largest role in the original version of Doctor Who was in the Third Doctor story The Curse of Peladon, where he played King Peladon. He also appeared in The War Games as Private Moor and The Enemy of the World as a guard. Decades later, he joined the BBC Wales team in Midnight as Professor Hobbs, an episode directed by Alice Troughton, to whom he is unrelated.
Thereafter, he portrayed a new incarnation of the Black Guardian in The Key 2 Time Fifth Doctor audio adventures, The Destoyer of Delights and The Chaos Pool.
Beyond Doctor Who, Troughton is also a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company and a renowned classical actor. He also co-starred with Peter Davison in the TV series "A Very Peculiar Practice".
