Mr. Fanshawe was a wealthy homeowner in the 17th century. He was the husband of Lucie Fanshawe.

Biography

While out on the road in their carriage, Lucie and Mr Fanshawe were robbed by the Knightmare. Their coachman advised them to do what the highwayman said and give him what he wanted. However, this robbery was interrupted by the Twelfth Doctor, who proceeded to speak to the Knightmare, unknowingly allowing the Fanshawes to escape.

The next night, the Knightmare and the Doctor snuck into Fanshawe's house with the intent of stealing the Eyes of Hades. While escaping a maid, the pair stumbled into Fanshawe's room, where they accidentally awoke him. Fanshawe, thinking that the footsteps he heard belonged to Lucie, looked outside his room but found no one. Finally coming to his senses, he retreieved his gun and ordered everyone in his house to search for the intruders, but found no one. (TV: The Woman Who Lived)
