Morpheus pod

Morpheus pods were invented in the 38th century by Gigan Rasmussen, a scientist. It simulated the body sleeping a whole night in just a 5 minute period. It sent electrical signals into the brain and changed its chemistry. This was meant to improve productivity as one third of a human being's life is spent asleep.

Aboard the Le Verrier Station, a research station orbiting Neptune/Triton, Rasmussen experimented on his creation to improve it. However, things went astray when the sleep dust from the morpheus pod users came to life in the form of 'sandmen' and digested all the crew aboard the station. Some of the sleep dust took on the form of Rasmussen and waited for a rescue mission for itself to spread to the rest of the world.

While the sandmen waited for a rescue mission, the tardis landed inside. The stations was on emergency lighting and the Doctor and Clara were chatting. A rescue mission from Triton had arrived to find out why the station had not communicated in 24 hours. It was composed of General Nagato, Chopra, Deep-Ando, and a grunt called 474. They meet and decide to work together to find out what happened.
