Neanderthals are a species related to the Humans who were specially adapted to dwell in a colder climate. They lived in Europe and parts of Asia and went extinct around 24,000 years ago. The Neanderthals were wiped out by the Humans, with the help of the Dæmons. (DW: The Daemons)
