On 14 October 1914, William Abberton was at the Forge, experimenting on humans with a vampire virus, when the vampires overpowered their creator and escaped. Abberton was mortally wounded, and took the drastic step of using the Twilight formula to save his life, becoming himself a vampire. (AUDIO: No Man's Land, Project: Twilight)
