Fulton Mackay
Fulton Mackay (12 August 1922-6 June 1987) played Dr John Quinn in the Doctor Who television story Doctor Who and the Silurians. He was also considered for the role of the Fourth Doctor when Jon Pertwee left Doctor Who in 1974. (INFO: Doctor Who and the Silurians)
Born in Scotland, Mackay was a familiar face on British television, appearing in episodes of Template:WiThe Army Game, Template:WiThe Plane Makers, Template:WiOut of the Unknown, Z-Cars, The Saint, Template:WiPaul Temple (TV series), Template:WiSome Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em, Template:WiDad's Army, Template:WiCrown Court (TV series) and Template:WiLovejoy. He also played Det. Chief. Supt. Inman on Template:WiSpecial Branch (TV series) and the Captain on the UK version of Template:WiFraggle Rock, but will be best remembered as the prison warden Mr Mackay on the sitcom Template:WiPorridge (TV series), as well as it's big screen version and the spin-off Template:WiGoing Straight.
