The Captain of the guard commanded the Cardinal of Lorraine's guard. When he and Roger Colbert were overheard by Anne Chaplet talking about Wassy, she fled from the cardinal's house. He and the other guards chased after her to a tavern, but were told off by Nicholas Muss and Gaston. (TV: The Massacre of St Bartholomew's Eve)
