Tarovian martial arts were studied for "a while" by Nardole, who eventually reached the rank of 'Brown Tavard'. He also learned the Tarovian neck pinch. However, he could only perform it with his original right hand and not with his left hand which had been replaced at one point. (TV: The Lie of the Land)
On another occasion Nardole would use his Tarovian martial arts skills in order to kick down a door in Edinburgh, 1645. (PROSE: Plague City)
