Hyderabad was a region in India. Around 18th-19th century, it was directly ruled by the Nizam of Hyderabad, who was answerable to the British. It employed women as guards in its only Amazon guard unit. Both Rani Jhulka and Khair-un-Nissa Kapoor were from Hyderabad. (COMIC: The Swords of Kali)
