The White God was supposedly a sea deity that had been captured by the pirate ship Parliament of Rats. Brunner, a priest-physician, joined the Lung of Heaven to find the White God and expose it as a false god. When the Lung was attacked by the Parliament, Brunner was taken aboard the Parliament with Nyssa. They were imprisoned in a room with a mirror. An entity appeared out of the mirror, and Brunner tried, but failed, to defeat it. Nyssa theorised that it was a white hole. After Brunner and Nyssa were rescued by the Fifth Doctor and Constantine, the Doctor was able to communicate with the entity through Brunner's staff. He learned it came from a relic of the Time Lords, and ordered it to destroy itself. It did so, causing the Parliament to break apart and sink. Back aboard the Lung, the Doctor learned that Constantine had created the White God for her amusement. (PROSE: The Parliament of Rats)
