Mark Tonderai (born 16 July 1974 [1]) directed the Doctor Who television stories The Ghost Monument and Rosa. He is the first person of colour to work as a director on Doctor Who.

He was also credited as a B camera operator on both episodes.

In January 2018, Tonderai directed both episodes in his production block in South Africa. He worked with Out of Africa Entertainment, a local production company, as well as the regular Doctor Who crew.
