Balazar was the reader of the Books of Knowledge in the UK Habitat, which were merely novels for enjoyment, in c. 2000000.
Merdeen allowed him to escape to the surface, where Katryca accepted him into the Tribe of the Free. He later participated in the raid on the Habitat. (TV: The Mysterious Planet)
