The quantum sphere was an organic matrix that Zhe Ikiyuyu used to imbue the binary apprentice with an AI persona. It looked like a blue sphere about the size of a fist.
Zhe used the quantum sphere to bypass the incompatibility of Block Transfer Computation with machines or artificial intelligences. Eventually, she deemed the experiment with the binary apprentice failed and turned it back into the quantum sphere state.
