This reeks of self-promotion. I mean, "Advanced the interests of American Nerds"? Hadn't even accidentally heard of the guy before accidentally stumbling across his article. Shrug. I don't think I've ever asked another editor for permission to change one of their pages, and I don't see why this would be any different, especially since it was only ever protected due to vandalism immediately following the #MeToo allegations. – N8 ☎ 03:43, August 9, 2018 (UTC)
