The Doctor disables the Cyberman's emotional inhibitor, as he will again in his next incarnation. (TV: The Age of Steel)
The Cyberman has been kidnapping people to replace the parts of it that are human, making it more flesh than machine. The newly regenerated Twelfth Doctor happened upon Clockwork Droids in a similar scenario. (TV: Deep Breath)
This is one of four known visits to the United States by the Ninth Doctor, having also been at the Kennedy assassination in Dallas, Texas on 22 November 1963, (TV: Rose) Utah in 2012, (TV: Dalek) and California in 2016. (COMIC: The Transformed)

Cyberman stories

For the purposes of this list, a "Cyberman story" is one in which one living, authentic Cyberman plays a part within the confines of the story, outside of flashbacks to previous stories and cliffhangers that lead into the following story. For this reason, stories such as Dalek are absent due to only featuring deceased Cybermen on display. Stories like Carnival of Monsters, A Good Man Goes to War and The Vanquishers are also not included due to the Cybermen's appearance being of little consequence to the plot of the story.
