Renaming

I don't want to violate T:SPOIL, so I'm just going to say the reason I want to change the name can be found on Cwej: The Series. Never Forget The Day The 456 Arrived 23:39, May 29, 2020 (UTC)

Then how about we wait until it's no longer a spoiler. Shambala108 23:42, May 29, 2020 (UTC)
User:Never Forget The Day The 456 Arrived proposed a rename to a dabbed form — Cyberon (Do You Have a Licence to Save this Planet?). I don't think this is necessary — we don't currently have any other page about something called a Cyberon, since, per the decisions at Forum:BBV and canon policy, we do not cover Cyberon the home video release, nor, of course, Cyberon the chemical from that story.
I would go so far as to add that in their own way, the Cyberons constitute a primary topic; even if some Big Finish audio someday introduces a Cyberman-related concept also called "Cyberon", and ironically I'm not sure they would be allowed to do that for fear of copyright lawsuits from BBV, the fact remains that the first thing anyone searching "Cyberon" into this Wiki will be looking for is info on the BBV species.
Dabbing with Do You Have a Licence to Save this Planet? would be less than helpful for two more reasons yet:
        • We may, as a Wiki, have decided not to cover Cyberon, but in terms of common sense, Do You Have A License… is clearly not these guys' "debut". We shouldn't dab John Steed as John Steed (Party Animals) either if we can avoid it; same thing.
        • Do You Have a Licence… is a parodical, {{invalid}} story, but the Cyberons are not in and of themselves parodical. Just because no one has yet created a valid story where a licensed Doctor Who character meets the Cyberons, doesn't mean no one ever will. If (don't worry about T:SPOIL, this is purely a hypothetical) Big Finish announce tomorrow that they've cleared the rights for the Cyberons with Bill Baggs, and we can expect a Cybermen vs. Cyberon: Ultimate Cyberwar box set next autumn, we'd have to undo all the work of this rename because the valid sources would take primacy. And that would just be silly.
For all these reasons and more, it is my opinion that this should not be renamed to the proposed dabbed form. Especially not if more Cyberons appear in a valid, licensed DWU story someday, as Never Forget was implying!… --Scrooge MacDuck 23:44, May 29, 2020 (UTC)
(Note: I wrote the above before the exchange under which it is now placed, as a direct reply to the rename template.)--Scrooge MacDuck 23:46, May 29, 2020 (UTC)
