Dr. Fendelman was a wealthy businessman who discovered "Eustace", a humanoid skull that predated Humanity by eight million years. He hired scientists Adam Colby, Maximillian Stael and Thea Ransome to study it. He eventually realized that the Fendahl had used him in its efforts to return to life, and he was shot and killed by Stael. (DW: Image of the Fendahl)
