The Torchwood S.U.V is the main mode of transport that Torchwood Three use to go on missions.

Modifications
The Torchwood vehicle is a converted large, black Range Rover with tinted windows and blue lights running along the A pillars. The vehicle has a white-on-black non-standard typeface for the registration plate, usually found only on military vehicles and vehicles from before 1973 on British car number plates, and its registration number, CF06 FDU (indicating the vehicle was registered in Cardiff between March and September 2006), does not appear in the DVLA vehicle register (TW: Everything Changes). The boot is big enough to fit a full sized body such as the Weevil and a Alien blowfish.
History
It is unknown how and when Torchwood first got the SUV, but it was most likely after Jack Harkness took over control of Torchwood, or there abouts. The S.U.V was used by Torchwood when they would go for a drink or something to eat (TW:Cyberwoman). It was when Torchwood returned to invesigate a possible UFO sighting, that Toshiko Sato wanted to have a roat for who drove the car. On another mission, Torchwood were in the country and the car was broken into a driven of, with most of their gear still inside, it was found parked 20 miles away. Torchwood also contacted Kathy Swanson, a member of the Cardiff Police force, who helped Torchwood tracked down Suzie when she took Gwen hostage. The S.U.V was at the sence of Eugene Jone's death and unknown to them, Eugene was one of the only members of the pupil to see inside the S.U.V. When Tosh and Jack when to invisigate an abadoned dance hall; they were taken through the rift, and the S.U.V was left behind, which Gwen later discovered.
When a blowfish stole a sports car, Torchwood gave case in the S.U.V, and Owen opened the window and leaned out, firing a gun at the wheels of the sports car. It was latered used by them to go and meet up with John Hart, when he returned and distessed Jack. Torchwood Three latered used it to invisgate a crashed lorry, with alien meat inside, which revealed to Rhys Williams that Gwen did not work for the poilce. Later on, when Torchwood walked into a booby-trapped building, the S.U.V was stolen by John Hart, who latered returned it after the deaths of Owen Harper and Toshiko Sato.
The S.U.V was stolen again when Ianto Jones went to visit his sister.
It is unknown what happened to the S.U.V after that
Known Features
- The S.U.V is known to contain computers that can connect to the Torchwood Hub and to various databases, such as police and civilians personal files. (TW: Day One)
- The S.U.V has a triple deadlock, according to Ianto Jones (TW: Children of Earth: Day One); however, it has been broken into on multiple occasions. (TW: Countrycide, Exit Wounds, Children of Earth: Day One)
- The Torchwood S.U.V can also change the traffic lights so that they are on green before they reach them. (TWN: Slow Decay)
- Even with its bulky and heavy size it still manages to be fast (TW: Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang).
- In the boot of the car underneith it there is a hiden gun which is in parts and neededs to be builed up (TW: Something Borrowed).

Behind the Scenes
- In a commentary for Series 1 Russell T Davies stated that he hated the yellow lettering of the Torchwood wording on the roof of the car and that there was only one shot of the words and it would never be shot again.
