The activator core was a crucial part of at the very least a Cybercarrier.
History
While destroying the Cybercarrier recovered by Ashad, Ko Sharmus planted a bomb on the ship's activator core. Ko Sharmus informed his companions that when the activator core blew, it would set off a chain reaction throughout the entire ship. Shortly thereafter, the explosives armed themselves and detonated, destroying the Cybercarrier and everything on it. (TV: The Timeless Children)
